Hot weather returns for a few days

Partly sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, but there will be a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Friday: Partly sunny, humid and hot. South wind 5 to 11 miles per hour. Actually, our best chance for showers and storms comes in the morning.

Tuesday's high of 96 broke a string of nine 100-degree days. Expect some showers and storms as this front moves through.

This means minor flooding is possible from up to 2 inches rain within a two hour period.
