Kanye West Responds to Kid Cudi's Diss: "I Birthed You"

He began songwriting by committee in 2008 for his record 808s and Heartbreak, and is commonly praised for orchestrating the collaborative efforts behind his 2010 album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

After stopping in the middle of the remix to "Don't Like", the rapper addressed Cudi by reminding him of his come up.

Earlier today, Kid Cudi made his feelings about the music industry - and a few of the machine's heaviest hitters - very clear on Twitter.

The "I Love Kanye" rapper also screamed "I birthed you" about Cudi in hopes the message would reach the "Pursuit of Happiness" artist.

Cudi wrapped up his unexpected slew of tweets by declaring, "Ive been loyal to those who haven't been to me and that ends now".

The rapper's rant revives the controversy that Drake uses a ghostwriter for some of his songs, while his harsh words for West reignites their fraught issues from the past. Can't nobody tell Ye who to do songs with!

On Wednesday, Cudi took to Twitter to vent his frustrations about the current state of rap and the music industry as a whole.

In the video below, he says, "You know how many people wish they could be signed to G.O.O.D. Have an opportunity? Never forget that", he proclaimed from atop his floating stage.

West was playing at Tampa's Amelie Arena when he responded to Cudi's criticism, saying: "I'm so hurt, I feel so disrespected".

Kid Cudi may still be on his pursuit of happiness, but he paused on that to give the world a piece of his mind. I got called names before you bruh.

Yeezy called his protege out by name and continued with an even longer outburst a little while later. I'm out here fighting for y'all: creatives, artists, independent thinkers.
