'Raging' 10-alarm fire engulfs buildings and cars in Cambridge, Mass.

The Cambridge Fire Department said units from across the Boston area were being called in for support and as backup.

There were reports of some minor injuries. The fire is has touched at least seven buildings on both sides of Berkshire Street, as well as cars and trees lining the road. Smoke from the fire can be seen billowing from miles away. One building collapsed "almost immediately" after firefighters responded Saturday, and Cahill said officials worry that more could follow. According to our news partner at WCVB, two of the injured were police officers, one was a firefighter. One is a former church building converted into affordable housing condominiums. Fire officials say they're uncertain when the power will be restored. It was not clear whether the home where the fire started was occupied by anyone at the time of the fire.

They say a 70-year-old man was pronounced deceased and three others were transported to the hospital in critical condition. More than 60 people were displaced.

Louche Pinheiro was still visibly shaken by the fast moving fire, that started at about 2 p.m. on Saturday. Fire crews were called in from surrounding cities and towns.

"We are very lucky that we didn't have serious, serious fatalities", Reardon said.

"Within a minute, the house was engulfed in flames", Rodrigo Garcia said.

The Red Cross is assisting people who have lost their homes at the War Memorial Recreation Center on Cambridge Street, and at the Frisoli Youth Center.

The cause of the fire is still unclear.
