Kimmel welcomed "Tom Brady" on stage, and the athlete ran out fully dressed in his Patriots uniform, complete with helmet. "He flew all the way from Houston".
"I just haven't had time to change because I've been fired up", Damon replied.
Last night, a day after Damon's beloved Patriots won yet another Super Bowl, Kimmel had MVP quarterback "Tom Brady" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live".
When Jimmy asked him to take off his helmet, Damon refused, saying, "It's my lucky helmet. Just so much success here, I'd rather just keep it on". What started as a running gag where Kimmel apologized to his audience for bumping Damon for the show, has escalated into a series of one-upmanship of extreme proportions.
But after congratulating him on his Super Bowl win, and engaging in some friendly chat, Kimmel became suspicious. "I won the Super Bowl and I won your stupid show!"
After the brief appearance, Damon was interviewed backstage by sports journalist Rich Eisen for a amusing post-show victory interview (below).
Kimmel had a ready retort: "Unless you're on the couch, you're not a guest on the show".
Matt said: 'I've worked so hard for this and, you know, all the years of - I think it's 14 years of being in the dressing room and thinking, "I'm gonna get out", and we never gave up.
So last night, when Damon again made an appearance on Kimmel's show, it was humorous on multiple levels.
