Lana Del Rey has released a new song. Since then, she's been named in a freakish James Franco lawsuit and collaborated with people like the Weeknd and Father John Misty. Like much of her oeuvre, the song is concerned with love and the way it impacts our lives, going out to pursue your dreams and the contrast they have with daily life's mundane drag.
After teasing the single with a poster campaign, LDR has dropped a brand new single called "Love". The singer was in the studio with producer Rihanna to record "Young In Love". And while there's no word as to whether this is part of a forthcoming album or a standalone single, but Rolling Stone reports that a Richard Lee-directed music video for the song is soon to come. It follows Honeymoon, Lana's 2015 full-length, and a pair of guest spots on Starboy, the 2016 album from The Weeknd. Del Rey had this to say about the upcoming release, "I made my first 4 albums for me, but this one is for my fans and about where I hope we are all headed". In 2014, a giant billboard in Brooklyn, New York read "Ultraviolence", which ultimately hinted at her third album Ultraviolence. I'm just happy to be able to keep on making music I can stand behind.
