Outlast 2 aims to recapture that magic later next month with a new adventure through the Arizona desert. The release date for Outlast II is finally nearly here. It will be interesting to see how Outlast 2 evolves the game's mechanics beyond its predecessor while sticking to its core as a weapons-free horror experience. According to the developer, the sequel to Outlast will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC starting from April 25.
You may notice that the announcement mentions that the game will be available digitally specifically, but there's no mention of a physical retail copy.
Outlast 2 is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Red Barrels also announced that a physical edition of all three Outlast games-Outlast, the Outlast: Whistleblower DLC, and Outlast 2-will be released in a collection called Outlast Trinity.
Outlast 2 follows Blake Langermann, a cameraman, and his wife, who are hot on the trail of clues from a seemingly impossible murder. Interactive Entertainment (publishers of Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, and the more recent Mortal Kombat instalments) and Red Barrels are working together to bring fans Outlast Trinity.
Will you be picking up Outlast 2 or Outlast Trinity when they release in April?
