"(Taiwan) is a unique country in the atmosphere that you give to the people who visit. The film also beat its predecessor, 2013's The Wolverine, which opened at $53 million.
Played by 22-year-old rising star Zoey Deutch, Sam finds herself trapped in a time loop, destined to repeat the day of her death in an auto accident over and over. That being said I will have to talk about the movie some to review it, so if you don't want to know anything at all you probably shouldn't be reading about the movie online. For example, people were surprised both The Force Awakens and Rogue One didn't have post-credit scenes. even though Disney hasn't planned to have them for any of the films in the franchise.
On the other hand, it has to be acknowledged that - before Logan itself - the solo Wolverine movies left a lot to be desired. With the next X-Men movie set to begin filming in June, they've got a little over 3 months to try and change Academy Award Nominee's mind. Unsurprisingly, Logan won the weekend with a huge $85.3 million opening, marking the best start for a Wolverine movie.
This would be a Pick-it Movie for fans of X-men and then some, it more than makes up for some of the frivolous origin stories and stand alone wolverine movies we have been feed in the past.
Twentieth Century Fox is proving the power of the R-rated superhero movie.
It's fascinating to see Jackman figuring out how he is going to play Wolverine, and talking about the character's motivation in scenes that we eventually saw in the 2000 film.
Hugh Jackman's final outing as Wolverine has brought in the crowds, with "Logan" delivering a sturdy $237.8 million (that's just shy of £200 million) at the box office.
Chris Aronson, Fox's domestic distribution chief talked about the film's success in a statement in which he said, "The movie is one of the truest movies to the source material in the comic book universe that's ever been done". Every film from Disney's Marvel Studios and Time Warner Inc's TWX, -0.23% Warner Bros.' DC superhero unit has carried that more family-friendly rating.
