See Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson Spar in 'Three Billboards' Trailer

It's been nearly a decade since Martin McDonagh emerged as a major filmmaking talent with his feature debut "In Bruges", and five since his unforgettable riff on Quentin Tarantino in "Seven Psychopaths". In other words, it looks like a Martin McDonagh movie. So she rents three billboards outside the town, criticizing the local police.

McDonagh has been talking about the project for quite some time.

While Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is quite clearly gunning for 2017's longest title, it may also just have the year's funniest trailer. In an act of retribution, she goes to war with the police in her home town because "she thinks they are more interested in torturing black people than getting justice". It's delivered by Christopher Walken to Colin Farrell's Marty, McDonagh's screenwriter stand-in in the film.

In Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, the latest film from In Bruges writer and director Martin McDonagh, McDormand plays Mildred Hayes, a mother who's grieving from the murder of her only daughter.

The movie is set to be release this coming autumn, although no fixed date has thus far been announced.

The movie also features Abbie Cornish, Lucas Hedges, Željko Ivanek, Caleb Landry Jones, Clarke Peters, Samantha Weaving with John Hawkes and Peter Dinklage. Frances McDormand (Oscar award-winning star of Fargo) is a mean mother with a dead daughter and a violent attitude.

When Willoughby's No. 2 Officer Dixon (Rockwell) - an immature mama's boy with a penchant for violence - gets involved, the battle between Mildred and Ebbing's law enforcement is exacerbated.
