Lynn has the joint-highest number of sixes in the IPL (9) and his strike rate of 193.47 will surely be a huge miss for KKR in their pursuit for the third title.
This is not the first time Lynn has hurt his left shoulder. Even the Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir didn't know the extent of the injury.
"We are awaiting the results of the scans to Chris Lynn's shoulder which he dislocated on the field", Kallis wrote in his column for Times of India. It is a notoriously hard area of the body to heal, so these are nervous times.
Two days after injuring his left shoulder while diving in the match against Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) opening batsman Chris Lynn's further participation in this year's Indian Premier League (IPL) remains jeopardised, the KKR medical team said on Tuesday.
As the 27-year-old dived forward, unfortunately he grabbed his shoulder on impact before being attended to by Knight Riders' physio Andrew Leipus.
Lynn was later seen having his left arm, and shoulder, protected with a bandage.
Lastly, we can not forget about Mr.360 AB de Villiers, who in his first match back in the IPL after an injury lay off performed incredibly, scoring a blistering 89 off 46 balls including 9 sixes (some were the best you'll ever see in the game).
Dear Cricket Gods, did I do something wrong?
Lynn started his IPL campaign with a blistering 93 against Gujarat Lions, setting the stage for a productive season in the cash-rich event.
Reflecting on the same, Brisbane Heat general manager Andrew McShea said that the Big Bash League (BBL) club is seeking further information about the extent of the injury to Lynn.
"It's unfortunate for Chris to sustain another injury to the shoulder that has troubled him in the past".
