Egg Hunt is a hit

Uno Pizzeria and Grill will host its fourth annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday morning, April 15. Hunts are separated into age groups with those 3 and under hunting at 10:30 a.m., 4 to 6 at 10:45 a.m., 7 to 9 at 11 a.m. and 10 to 12 at 11:15 a.m. "No parents will be allowed to help (older kids) find eggs". "Everybody had a hopping good time at our Easter event on Wednesday", he said. The Easter Egg Bingo Challenge is a tournament competition is offering $3,000 in prizes throughout the whole month of April. The Bethesda Worship Center will hold their Easter Carnival and Egg Run starting at 11am at their building and at 1pm Walmart will have a hunt as well. The egg hunt starts at 9:30 a.m.

More than 3000 eggs will be hidden in Penny Park with children divided into age groups.

Two community Easter egg hunts are planned for the area this year.

All kids age nine and under, get your sacks or Easter baskets ready!

This year there are bulk ticket sales for larger families, so a family of five can enjoy breakfast, egg hunt and a few other activities for $40.

"It is always enjoyable for MWR to provide special community events for our Navy and base patron community", said Melissa Forrester, MWR Special Events Coordinator.

The Easter bunny will be on the Mount Mainstreet deck between 11am and 1.30pm on Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday.

The Crofton Easter Egg Hunt is also back for another year at the Crofton ballfield on Saturday, April 15 from 11 a.m.to 2 p.m. United States 31, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

"We are going to raffle off Easter baskets donated by local business people", she said.

The event, which includes a FREE fish fry, games, pie baking contests and crafts, will be in full swing from 10:00 a.m.to 2:00 p.m.

As in the past, the Easter bunny also is expected to hop by to see the children.
