It's nearly too much to ask the Raptors to play the same kind of swarming, crowding, quick defence again that led to Antetokounmpo's minimal production, just as it's too much to expect him to post such pedestrian numbers when Game 5 unfolds at the Air Canada Centre on Monday.
Milwaukee Bucks forward Thon Maker (7) takes a shot against Toronto Raptors forward Serge Ibaka (9) in the third quarter in game three of the first round of the 2017 NBA Playoffs at BMO Harris Bradley Center.
DeRozan missed all eight of his field goals and scored eight points in Toronto's 27-point Game 3 loss but exploded early Saturday, scoring 21 points in the first half and made 12-of-22 shots for the game.
On Wednesday, Bucks coach said his team badly needed to limit the Raptors' 3-pointers if they are going to beat the Raptors. Khris Middleton paced six Bucks in double figures with 20, while Giannis Antetokounmpo added 19 points and 8 rebounds.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games following a lost of more than 10 points, 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven Conference Quarterfinals games. With the series at 2-1, Game 4 in Milwaukee will take the place of the biggest game in over a decade. Toronto was tied with Cleveland at 2-2 in the 2016 Eastern Conference Finals last season.
Trading shoves in the paint and hand-checks on the perimeter, the Bucks matched the Raptors' rise in defensive intensity with Toronto desperate to tie the series going back to Canada.
With the win in Game 2, Lowry looked a little bit more like himself and DeMar DeRozan looked like the one constant on this raptors squad, I can say my fingers inched away from the panic button.
At least fatigue will not be an issue going into Game 4. Instead, Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan paced Toronto's attack, and the defense kept Milwaukee's young guns at bay. Their first opponent has been a challenging one, the Toronto Raptors.
The massacre stretched into the second, and when Middleton scored on a free throw late in the first half it put the Bucks up by a whopping 32 points.
Lowry had 18 points, four assists and four rebounds while not turning the ball over once.
The other Washington starters combined to score 30 points on 14-of-45 shooting.
Early in the game, the Raptors made sure to get DeRozan the ball.
The Bucks had 13 first-half turnovers compared to 10 for Toronto in a game that would have been considered a sloppy dud in the middle of the regular season.
"I wish we wouldn't have a stinker before we play that way, but if we can consistently get everybody at their potential level, I think we'll be in good shape".
Head coach Dwane Casey expanded his normal rotation of eight or nine players to 11 searching to find something that would work but it was all to no avail. Don't let them get to their sweet spots or their strengths.
The Bulls host Game 3 on Friday. Whoever goes in has to go in and make a difference, and we didn't.
I much prefer to close by noting that Lowry scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half, which took pressure off Mr.
