Ex-FBI Director Comey's Testimony Before US House Oversight Committee Delayed

On Sunday Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah., chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said that he wants the individuals leaking information from the White House to be thrown in jail.

The House committee had scheduled a hearing titled "Oversight of the FBI's Independence" on Wednesday, though at the time Chaffetz said he was still trying to reach Comey. A New York Times article claims Comey kept notes on the conversation in which the President said "I hope you can let this go" referring to the Federal Bureau of Investigation probe into Michael Flynn.

Senator John McCain sharply disagreed with President Donald Trump reportedly telling Russian Former Minister Sergey Lavrov that former FBI Director James Comey was a 'nut job, ' saying he didn't understand the rationale for the comments and was incensed Lavrov was in the Oval Office in the first place. I don't know where they reside.

Comey was, of course, leading the FBI's investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation when he was, seemingly abrutly, fired on May 9.

Representative Elijah Cummings said Donald Trump's former National Security Adviser told the investigators during an early 2016 security clearance review that a trip to Moscow was "funded by U.S. companies".

"I think documents will help us to ferret out exactly what's the truth and what's a lie", Cummings said.

Trump allegedly asked Comey to let the investigation go, according to The Times. I don't know if there are documents. "These questions need to be answered".

Comey is not expected to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee. "Moreover, the American people deserve an opportunity to hear it", Warner said. "Because you're reflecting in a big pool".
