John Shearer/Getty Images via ABCLorde is helping a NY cashier named Emely live her fantasy by inviting her to the musician's performance at the Governors Ball festival.
Clearly won over by the customer service given by cashier Ayesha Mangu, Lorde, 20, is seen throwing up two peace signs in a Twitter video after being served a "blue velvet" drink at the Liquiteria shop in New York City.
"This is my first smoothie to a famous person", Ayesha Mangu said in the video posted to Twitter, which has been liked more than 5,300 times since it was posted yesterday. Instead, that same day the singer DMed the University of Tampa student and invited her to Governors Ball - which takes place this weekend. She responded to the musician writing, "No way- this is a joke right?".
Lorde explained she was going to ask in the store to celebrate Ms Medina's new job, but said she "got shy".
Her new album Melodrama drops June 16, and the singer recently teased lyrics from another new single set to be released on June 2. I'm crying [right now]!
But it wasn't a dream, the witch Lorde was real and so was her offer, which seems to have come at no price.
But *then* she shared a screenshot of a private conversation they had via Twitter after Lorde slid into her DMs.
Lorde is set to perform at the festival, which is held on Randall's Island in NY, on Friday.
