Kid Rock and Caitlyn Jenner running for the US Senate

On Tuesday night, Jimmy Kimmel had a perfectly well-behaved Caitlyn Jenner as his first guest (unlike her bizarrely aggressive turn on "Live With Kelly" in April).

The exchange was good-natured, but it still prompted an apology from Kimmel.

"I met him once briefly, but I'm sitting there thinking I have to go say hi", she explained.

"So, I go backstage after, and I told him, "I've had some really tough times in my life... and your song Dude (Looks Like A Lady) became my theme song, driving around in my vehicle, whipping up the tunes".

On the AM 970 radio show hosted by John Catsimatidis, the 67-year-old reality star admitted that she's more seriously considering a political run. Kimmel has been making jokes about Jenner's transition for years, the star said.

Caitlyn Jenner hasn't been keeping up with O.J.

Caitlyn Jenner Calls Rob Kardashian "Stupid" for Posting Private Pics of Blac Chyna "Right, but we didn't know what was happening!"

According to Jenner during a radio show in NY, she is thinking of running for a senate seat in California. "I don't know if you saw when I was on Jimmy Fallon. I like the political side of it", Jenner told radio host John Catsimatidis on AM 970 in NY.

"Damn, I'd just as soon see her back in the closet than this kind of thing".

Jenner is one of many U.S. celebrities who have recently mulled over their involvement in United States politics, after former reality star Donald Trump was elected.

Kimmel then took a moment to apologize. But the next day, The Talk co-host Sharon Osbourne revealed it had been her who had made the mean-spirited joke about Bruce Jenner's genitals, asking what would happen to them after Caitlyn's surgery.
