Send Money is not yet supported in South Africa.
Microsoft now allows Skype users to send money to their contacts using PayPal.
If the feature is available in their location, users will then be prompted to link their PayPal account to their Skype account. You just type in the amount to send, confirm the payment, and hit send to complete the transaction.
The latest service to gain deeper integration with the ubiquitous online money resource is one primarily dedicated to instant messaging and especially video chat functionality. The PayPal rates are exactly the same as they would be if you used its peer-to-peer payments on other platforms. "If you're sending funds from the USA, for example, to someone in Europe, you will have the option to send money in Euros".
A PayPal account registered in one of the 22 supported countries is obviously necessary for both the sender and recipient, with the initial setup mechanism created to be just as effortless as you'd expect. And it's doing so by partnering with former rivals, including Apple, as well as Visa and MasterCard, among others. It recently also announced partnerships with Samsung Pay, Android Pay, and Baidu. Send Money is available to some users in some countries today - but works for nearly any Android or iPhone device in your pocket right this minute.
