Google will reveal the Pixel 2 phone on October 4

And now the tech enthusiasts around the world are eagerly waiting for the launch of Googles Pixel 2 devices.

The landing page asks for an email address to be alerted with updates, and this same date and a tagline about asking "more of your phone" which appeared on a billboard in Boston this week (via MobileSyrup).

In other words, we can expect the next Pixel smartphones to arrive on 4 October. If a person has not bought the phone straight from Google then they won't be offered a Pixel XL as a replacement. It is safe to assume though that the 64GB Nexus 6P will be exchanged with the larger capacity Pixel XL.

A day later, Google is confirming that date with an official announcement. There are also chances of Google Pixel XL 2 launching on the same date. The Pixel Phones will compete with Samsung Galaxy S8, iPhone 8 and iPhone X. We are more than happy, for we have to wait less than a month to see who will have the last laugh. The current generation Pixel and Pixel XL have received mostly positive reviews - especially for their cameras that are considered best in the business right now - and hopefully the their successor would be even better. 2017 is all about full-screen phones, and the Pixel 2 XL will be just that thanks to LG. And since Huawei has stopped making the device, Google has made a decision to offer a better replacement - a spanking new Pixel XL.

Google unveiled the Pixel & Pixel XL smartphones, and they attracted many customers and critic. Google is hinting at what its new device will have with its "Ask More" campaign, including a video the search engine giant released on Thursday morning. The Taimen is the bigger phone, while the Walleye is the smaller one.

Since Qualcomm had already announced that there won't be a Snapdragon 836, the Pixel 2 and the Pixel XL 2 would probably be powered by the Snapdragon 835 which is now the processor used in every other top end phones.
