Selena Gomez's Best Friend Francia Raisa Reveals Scars From Kidney Transplant

As Selena Gomez returns to her career in New York City after undergoing a kidney transplant earlier this summer, Francia Raisa is getting back to her normal fitness routine.

"I am beyond grateful that God would trust me with something that not only saved a life, but changed mine in the process", Raisa wrote on Instagram shortly after Gomez made her post about the kidney transplant.

The pair considers each other family and Francia has been there for Selena throughout the hard times in her life, including her recent kidney transplant. The pop star shared the news of the kidney transplant in an Instagram post showing her and Raisa smiling and holding hands in side-by-side hospital beds. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering'. I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you.

Francia is back at the gym working out and the scars on her stomach from the surgery are visible. In the same announcement on Instagram, Gomez revealed that her good friend Francia would be the one to sacrifice her kidney.

Fans have taken to social media to praise Francia Raisa for her decision to donate one of her kidneys.

In return Francia, who is now filming new Black-ish spin-off series Grown-ish, posted the same picture with the caption: 'I am beyond grateful that God would trust me with something that not only saved a life, but changed mine in the process. The 25-year-old "Fetish" singer kept it real yesterday as she strolled around the Big Apple munching on popcorn, and we love her all the more for it.

"The love between them has really grown", she told the Spanish-language outlet.
