She asked him about Jinder Mahal's recent degrading comments and he didn't seem phased by any of it. However, it could be argued that AJ is due a return to the WWE Championship picture and will drop his current Title at Hell In A Cell as a result. The King of Strong Style fought back, but the numbers game caught up to him as the Singh Brothers attacked. Nakamura has been given a second chance at the title after defeating Randy Orton in a #1 Contender's Match, but all that has happened since is that Mahal tries to insult Nakamura's face.
SmackDown Live was #9 in viewership on cable for the night, falling behind Major League Baseball on ESPN, Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Fox News Tonight, The Five, The Story, Fox & Friends, and Special Report. This distracted Flair, allowing Natalya to knock her down from behind and lock in the Sharpshooter to make the title challenger tap out.
We now know the "Hell In A Cell 2017" Kickoff Show match that will be taking place during this weekend's pay-per-view on the WWE Network. With the promising matches on the card of Hell on in the Cell on the horizon. The segment ended with the two teams staring each other down. Each match was quickly settled with each instance hyping a match Sunday. After winning the Money in the Bank contract, he failed to successfully cash it in, then he lost to John Cena five days later at SummerSlam. The Phenomenal One then promised that short cuts won't win Corbin the United States Championship at Hell in a Cell.
The highlight of the show was when Dana Warrior, the wife of the late Ultimate Warrior handed out awards. They received their own pink SmackDown Women's Champion belts while receiving a standing ovation from the SmackDown women's division.
Over the years, B-level feuds such as Randy Orton vs. Sheamus would invade the cell. The Bulgarian Brute attempted to catch Orton off guard, but quickly retreated and made a decision to wait until Hell in a Cell. Owens then proceeded to beat down McMahon before powerbombing him through a merchandise table.
McMahon assured Zayn that he isn't trapped inside Hell in a Cell with Owens, but rather the other way around. Owens had enough and wished that Shane O'Mac had died before being attacked by the Commissioner of SmackDown Live.
So WWE has booked a falls count anywhere stipulation for a Hell in a Cell match, which was literally created as a way to keep its combatants inside the structure once it is lowered. McMahon went after him and ran right into a trap on the arena concourse.
Once again, they did a great job at building up the Owens vs. McMahon feud. I mean I didn't think it was any 4 star match but Dave [Meltzer] did and other people thought it was very good.
After battling for months, this is the last match in the epic saga between The New Day and The Usos. However, if they wanted to add one final touch to the storyline they should have had Styles confront Corbin face-to-face.
In either case, Shane proved at Wrestlemania that there's more to his move set than just "jump off tall stuff" and this match has the potential to be epic.
