Arsenal have won all three of the games to open the Group H campaign, and with two home games remaining, Giroud said he believed the Gunners could finished with a 100 percent record.
Red Star had the best chance of the match in the 27th minute. They were risky on set pieces, but thanks to some good saves from Petr Cech and some desperate defending Arsenal survived without conceding.
Arsenal themselves nearly found a breakthrough in the first half with Egypt worldwide Mohamed Elneny's cross finding Olivier Giroud but his header went wide.
Arsenal's next Europa league game is on November 2nd at the Emirates again against Red Star. They had a really good chance to break the deadlock with players lining up in the box to put it away.
Arsenal improved in the second half which wasn't hard given how poor they were in the first. His blind back pass across Arsenal's goal was intercepted by Radonjic, but Cech pushed the shot over the bar.
In the last ten minutes, Rodic was sent off after a coming together with Francis Coquelin, which made the task even harder for the Serbian minnows. The Gunners were cautious going forward and the trio of Olivier Giroud, Jack Wilshere, and Theo Walcott weren't clicking too well.
Walcott and Wilshere grew stronger later in the game.
The 1-0 win maintains Arsenal's flawless record in Group H and means that a win in the return encounter on November 2 would guarantee qualification with two games to spare.
