Inside Meghan Markle and Princes Harry's secret meeting with The Queen

The 36-year-old actress, who is said to have just quit her role on Suits in preparation to become a royal wifey, had afternoon tea with Prince Harry and the Queen in her private sitting room at Buckingham Palace, according to reports by the Daily Mail.

While royal fans breathlessly wait a royal engagement, there are also several key dates to be celebrated before Harry and Meghan can go public with an announcement.

The ideal time for a tea party!

Meanwhile, Meghan, who has told studio bosses she wont be making another season of Suits, is preparing to spend more time in the United Kingdom, no doubt making plans for a rumored new apartment at Kensington Palace.

Perhaps the Los Angeles-born "Suits" actress was positioning herself as the appropriate bride for Harry by showing she has something in common with Elizabeth II. "She normally sits for half an hour eating from a selection of sandwiches, fruit or plain scones and cake", Kay revealed.

Insiders told Kay that Harry, 33, had spoken to his grandmother during the summer at Balmoral Castle in Scotland asking to introduce Meghan, who is three years his senior.

Meghan was spotted back in Toronto following a brief stint in the United Kingdom, where she was said to have met her boyfriend's grandmother, The Queen, over tea at Buckingham Palace.

All signs are pointing to an engagement as, in addition to this visit, Harry and Meghan made their public debut as a couple last month at the Invictus Games in Toronto. "We're in love. I'm sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time".

There is critical significance in Markle's meeting with Queen Elizabeth, People said.

"If Harry asks for something, she would say yes as she adores him."
As we all know, this meeting has been a long time coming and it can only mean one thing.
