Taylor Swift's 'Gorgeous' is an instant classic

The countdown to November 10, the date Taylor Swift officially returns with her new album Reputation, has begun.

Most of the lyrics seem to reference Tom Hiddleston and Calvin Harris, and many fans have assumed the song is about when Swift met Hiddleston at the Met Gala in 2016.

Releasing her third single off her upcoming album "Reputation", Swift dropped "Gorgeous" at midnight in the U.S. But some fans still aren't convinced.

"Basically, Taylor made us all promise that if anyone made any accusations of who this is about, we tell them it is 100% about her boyfriend of one year", they wrote. Doesn't sound like much, right?

After 'Look What You Made Me Do" and its Easter egg-packed music video broke major records, Swift followed up with another single "Ready For It'. You should think about the effect of your magnetic field being a little too strong.

Like "Enchanted" (from 2010's "Speak Now"), "Gorgeous" is a sweet song about becoming besotted to the point of shyness while circling an object of desire at a social gathering. He's in the club doing I don't know what.

But she's not without a sense of humor about the familiar situation: "You make me so happy it turns back to sad / There's nothing I hate more than what I can't have / Guess I'll just stumble on home to my cats". Then Swift gets Eurocentric and croons about the enduring appeal of "ocean-blue eyes".

Who do you think "Gorgeous" is about?
