Tottenham Star Harry Kane Ruled Out for Manchester United Clash

"I don't think anyone is afraid to come and play us at Old Trafford. normally, we have good performances at home".

Shaw was arguably Manchester United's best player under Louis van Gaal before he picked up a serious leg injury in September 2015, but since that horrific incident two years ago, the 22-year-old has struggled to maintain a place in the starting line-up.

"I think with Southampton he achieved the impossible", Shaw wrote in Guillem Balague's new book on Pochettino's time at Tottenham, via Sky Sports.

"The book only tried to show how hard it is for every manager, not only me".

The England global freely admits he wants to link up once more with Pochettino eventually, with the full-back even saying "I think he really wants me to play under him again".

Spurs will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing loss to the Hammers in their league match against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday. "He needs two, three, four, five or six matches in a row to play, to make mistakes, to get condition, to get match fitness and I can not give him that". But at left-back we have so many options that the situation is not easy.

"He is in the squad, he works and maybe the opportunity comes".

That led to Pochettino sitting down with his player to talk about his future as interest grew from United.

"We are a team who want to compete, who are competing and then the results are the results".

"I don't speak about injured players so don't ask me about Harry Kane, because to speak about Harry Kane I have to speak about [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, about [Paul] Pogba, about [Marcos] Rojo, about [Michael] Carrick, so I don't speak. He needs [lots of] matches in a row to play, to make mistakes, to get conditioned, to get match fitness and at this moment I can't give him that", Mourinho added.
