Mane will reportedly not be considered for Saturday's Premier League meeting with West Ham United, with his comeback drafted in for the game against former club Southampton at Anfield after the worldwide break on November 18.
Mane has been out since September due to a hamstring injury, with Liverpool struggling in the absence of the Senegal worldwide.
"Sadio looked really, really good".
"It was pretty intense for him as it was his first football session for a long time but he did really well".
Although Mane was injured while with Senegal, Klopp is happy for him to link-up with his country for their two World Cup qualifiers against South Africa.
Klopp said he has no problem with the call-up but he would like Mane to be rested for the second match if the African nation secure their place at Russian Federation 2018.
He explained: "We can not ignore the situation of Senegal and say we don't care if they play in the World Cup. That's not nice and it's not right", said Klopp.
"If Senegal get the point they need in first game then ideal situation would be that he doesn't play the second game". Liverpool were without defender Dejan Lovren and Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho, who were both ruled out with thigh injuries, and Klopp gave only a second start to former Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the left of a front three.
"That would be the ideal situation but we can not decide it".
"If Sadio can play I really think he should because it is good to get some rhythm, otherwise he would not have played for how many weeks". That was a deflating moment for West Ham and one which leaves Bilic under pressure once more; after all, a loss this weekend could see them slip into the bottom three ahead of the November global break.
"The games are on different pitches but the intensity is similar".
