A missing teenager from Columbia County, Florida may be with the boys soccer coach of her school, police and the school district believe. She left behind her cell phone but not before erasing all of the date from it. May be heading north in 2001 red Mercury Sable, FL tag Z04CSC.
Deputies also said that Frisina withdrew $200 from an ATM in St. Marys, GA.
Authorities say Caitlyn Frisina was last seen in the area of the 600th block of SW Markham Street in Lake City on Saturday.
Her daughter, a high school senior, climbed out the window of her home in Columbia County, which is located in northern Florida.
He said deputies are working to get information out, particularly to the northeast communities, because the pair are believed to be headed that direction.
Authorities believe Frisina left her home of her own accord.
According to the missing person report, a friend told investigators that Caitlyn sent her a text message, indicating there may be a relationship between the 17-year-old and Rodriguez.
Officials believe Rodriguez and Frisina may be headed northeast to NY or Canada, ABC News reported.
"He is a family friend and we have known him for several years from the soccer and the school and everything", the distraught mom said of Rodriguez. No other comments will be made pending this investigation. Have you talked to anyone that knows?' And I haven't heard anything. "We want you to let someone know that you're OK", she said.
He wrote: "She left with only a few clothes".
In response to his firing, Frisina's mom told First Coast News: "I think that this is one of the first steps in trying to rectify the situation". She may be with 27-year-old Rian Rodriguez in a red Mercury Sable.
The elder Frisina, who still leads the girls team, resigned as the head coach of the boys team in July, leaving Rodriguez to take over.
Anyone with information about the missing teen is urged to call the Columbia County Sheriff department at 386-719-2005.
