Tremors felt in Delhi due to natural disaster in Uttarakhand

Most of the Delhiites came outside of their home to save themselves; also, children's got scared of a strong quake vibrations. The intensity of natural disaster has been assessed at 5.5 on the Richter scale.

According to the IMD's National Seismological Centre, the quake occurred at 8.49 pm.

There were no reports of loss of property or life.

Tremors were also felt in Roorkee and Dehradun in Uttarakhand and parts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

Uttarakhand comes in an area which is more prone to quake. However, initial reports suggested that the epicentre of the natural disaster was in Uttarakhand. It falls in the Himalayan region. Many people took to Twitter just after they felt the natural disaster.

Some people shared their experiences on social media. "The depth of the natural disaster was 30 km".

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the natural disaster of 5.5 magnitude occurred at 8:49 p.m.
