At least four people have been killed and a further 15 injured in a terrifying bus crash in Russian Federation.
This video shows emergency services at the scene of the crash.
The bus driver operating the vehicle told investigators that the bus started moving suddenly and that he applied the brakes, but they did not work.
Several people were killed and more than a dozen injured when a bus drove into an underground passageway in Moscow.
Passengers on-board and people walking on the steps near the Slavyansky Boulevard metro station were killed, police said.
He said the bus had been towed off the pedestrian underground passage and the rescue operation was now complete.
Moments after the incident the driver of the bus was detained by the police.
Interfax news agency reported that the bus was not even a year old.
At least four people are said to have died after a bus came off the road and hurtled down a set of stairs leading to a metro station.
Some reports also said that the number of fatalities had risen to five people.
25 December is an ordinary working day in Russian Federation, as Orthodox Christmas is not celebrated until 7 January.
Mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, took to Twitter to express his condolences to the families and friends of the victim.
