Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze coming to the Switch

The Nintendo Switch had an excellent 2017, which was driven in part by Nintendo's focus on putting a bunch of first-party franchises on the console early.

Nintendo has announced that two Wii U games will find new life on Nintendo Switch. What other port of a title for Wii U would you like to see on the hybrid console? Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is out on May 4th.

In that respect, bringing them to Switch is a wise move, although we personally don't think we've got the willpower to play through Hyrule Warriors a third time. Later, Nintendo released Hyrule Warriors Legends on 3DS, which featured additional characters from portable characters like Spirit Tracks and A Link Between Worlds.

This new version will add the ability to play as Funky Kong - making stages a lot easier. Funky has a lot more abilities than his contemporaries, with double jumps and infinite rolls and swimming propulsion which'll definitely take the edge off some of the more hard moments of Tropical Freeze. Retro Games did a great job with this on Wii U, and now it's coming to Switch on 4th May. We don't have an official release date for Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition just yet, though Nintendo says that it'll be available this spring.
