Nokia 6 with 4GB RAM launched in India

Notably, the Nokia 6 will be available in its Matte Black colour variant. "To take the Nokia 6 experience to the next level, we are now introducing an updated version of this great phone- one with 4GB of RAM".

A new variant of the Nokia 6 is set to be launched in India on February 20 as per reports. The smartphone, until now was available with 3GB RAM in the country. Now HMD Global, the company behind Nokia phones, is introducing a newer variant on rival Flipkart. It is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor and Adreno 505 GPU, paired with 4GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. There will be some launch offers for the customers as well like extra Rs 2000 off on exchange with an older smartphone. Aside from the bump in RAM and internal storage, the rest of the specifications of the new variant are the same as the 3GB variant.

Even though the Nokia 6 doesn't match the sheer power of the Redmi Note 5 Pro, it offers better build & design and latest Android 8.0 Oreo software. The Nokia 6 (4GB) has a 5.5-inch full HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved glass coating and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Fingerprint sensor, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB OTG, 3000mAh built-in battery.

In terms of optics, the handset comes with a 16-megapixel primary rear camera with PDAF, dual-tone flash, and f/2.0 aperture. Overall, the Nokia 6 doesn't inspire confidence when it comes to specifications, but HMD is doing what it has been doing since its entry to the Indian market.

Meanwhile, sensors on board the smartphone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.

Nokia 6 features a precision-milled aluminum unibody shell measuring 154x75.8x7.85mm and weighing 168 grams.

Speakers: 3.5mm audio jack, Dual speakers, Dual smart amplifiers (TFA9891), Dolby Atmos.
