Sam Bradford agrees to terms with the Arizona Cardinals

Bradford, 30, would become the only quarterback on Arizona's roster should he sign Wednesday, barring another signing or a trade.

The No. 1 overall pick in 2010 out of Oklahoma cost the St. Louis Rams a fortune, but was nothing close to what they expected him to be. He had a resurgence in 2016, though, when he threw for 20 touchdowns and five interceptions with Minnesota.

Bradford hit free agency along with former teammates Teddy Bridgewater and Case Keenum.

The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly replacing one Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback with another.

Bradford was probably the longest shot among those three quarterbacks to be retained.

Bradford's trouble with injuries continued in 2017 as he was limited to just two games because of a third injury to his left knee. However, he has dealt with injuries throughout much of his career that has prevented him from truly fulfilling his potential.

In 2016, while playing 15 of 16 games for the Minnesota Vikings, Bradford led the National Football League with a completion percentage of 71.6 while throwing for 3,877 yards and 20 touchdowns against five interceptions despite going 7-8 as a starter.

In Bradford's only season with the Eagles (2015), he passed for 3,725 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions.

It comes down to what Mike Zimmer said about Bradford at the combine. "This year, he plays in one game and gets hurt, so you go back and look at his track record".

He missed most of the 2017 season with a knee injury. When word leaked that Cousins had a deal with Minnesota, the dominos began to fall for other teams in search of a quarterback.

Also, former OU linebacker Corey Nelson will sign a 1-year deal with Philadelphia worth up to $2.25 million, according to ESPN's Josina Anderson.
