Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he's ready to win at LA Galaxy

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has completed his move to the LA Galaxy, with the MLS club announcing the signing of the Swedish striker on Friday - in typical outspoken Zlatan fashion.

A move to the USA and the MLS will suite the forward, as he can once again be a star on and off the pitch.

"Dear Los Angeles, you're welcome", the enigmatically worded full-page advert read, above Ibrahimovic's signature and a Los Angeles Galaxy logo.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's move to the LA Galaxy has been confirmed by both player and club, with a video announcing his arrival released on social media followed by an official announcement.

Sources told ESPN FC that Ibrahimovic signed a two-year, $3 million contract with the Galaxy.

Ibrahimovic began his career with his hometown team, Malmo in 1999, before moving on to stints at Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris St Germain and United.

Only two of his seven appearances this season were from the start, the last of which came on December 26 when he was hauled off at half-time with United trailing 2-0 at home to Burnley.

But this is Zlatan - a man who, only last season, scored 28 goals in 48 appearances for Manchester United.

Rumours emerged earlier in the week suggesting that the 36-year-old would be off imminently after 18 months at Old Trafford, but the speed of the announcement from United took the football world by surprise.

However, if he feels ready to play from the outset, he could make his debut in the hugely anticipated Los Angeles Derby between LA Galaxy and LAFC on Saturday, March 31 - the first ever meeting between the new rivals. I'm not there for something else.

Ibrahimovic arrives on a free transfer following the mutual termination of his contract with Manchester United on Thursday.

'I'm like a little child who you give candy to for the first time and he's looking for the candy all the time.

"Ibrahimović was added to the LA Galaxy roster using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM), will occupy an worldwide roster spot and will officially join the roster pending receipt of a P1 Visa and ITC".

Many predicted that would be the end of Ibrahimovic's United sojourn, but the Swede defied the doubters in August by signing a new one-year deal.
