New Trailer for 'Venom' Actually Shows Venom

The newest trailer has been released by Sony Pictures for Marvel's upcoming superhero spinoff series Venom and this time it doesn't disappoint. The trailer concludes with Brock's internal fight against the alien force, which results in his body being completely taken over by the substance, thus totally becoming Venom. But now the new trailer has given us a glimpse of Brock becoming Venom thanks to Dr. Carlton Drake's experiment (played by Riz Ahmed).

Venom still has a lot of questions surrounding it. The design is also taking a smart step away from the only other live-action version of the character, which appeared in 2007's Spider-Man 3. Rather, it expands the ongoing Spider-Man universe inside Sony's host of films.

The whole point of Venom's powers in the comics, though, is that Spider-man initially had the alien symbiote suit.

As promised, Sony released the first full-length trailer for the movie at CinemaCon on Monday night. In the meantime, head down to the comments section and let us know what you thought of this first full-length trailer for Venom!

In the newest footage, we hear "Venom" actually has his own voice, and looks like he's going do to some banter with Brock.

Venom is one of the stranger characters to come out of the Marvel canon. Then again, Marvel has insisted that Venom is not a part of the MCU. Now we can move on to discussing more important things, like whether or not the CGI looks expensive enough, or how you properly pronounce symbiote.

Director Ruben Fleischer told Variety he has "always been drawn to the more antihero superheroes". The Black Suit swings into theaters October 5, 2018.
