2019 iPhone Could Have Triple Rear Lens

Told investment analyst Jeff PU, working in a Chinese Bank Yuanta Securities.

Huawei launched the P20 Pro on March 27th making it the first smartphone with a triple camera setup on the rear.

With the iPhone X being a major success and experiencing large volumes of shipments despite its hefty price tag, rumors surrounding new iPhones are already floating around.

After the notch display trend, it seems that the next focus of the smartphone makers is on the triple camera setup.

The iPhone X company reportedly has sent the authorized service providers of Apple a document telling them as to what they must do whenever a user of an iPhone X faces issues related to the Face ID.

Expected to launch in the second half of the next year, this iPhone with Triple-lens camera will be equipped with 6P lens design with up to 5x zoom and at least one of the lens will feature 12 MP camera. Two reports independently from each other mention the same three 12-megapixel camera, but CP also predicts the appearance of optical stabilization.

A triple-lens iPhone X mockup by Martin Hajek. This would be a major improvement over the 2x optical zoom now available on the iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X. I've been playing with that phone for the last two weeks, and let me tell you somethin': It is wonderful just how much that third lens can offer prosumers looking for an extra kick in their photography. However, only the highest end iPhones are set to receive the three-lens setup. The three camera iPhone could be the third-generation iPhone X and/or iPhone X Plus.

It is believed that the extra lens on the 2019 iPhone would help it to achieve 5x optical zoom. Unfortunately, no other details were given on the specifications or capabilities of the triple-camera system of the 2019 iPhone.
