George Clooney Hospitalized After Scooter Accident In Italy!

According to multiple reports from local Italian media, the 57-year-old actor was injured in Sardinia, where he is now filming the mini-series, "Catch-22".

The actor was taken via ambulance to a local hospital and released later the same day.

The publication states that according to La Nuova Sardegna, George was hit by the auto after it suddenly changed direction, taking him by surprise.

Clooney is in Italy (aside from the fact that he famously has a home in Lake Como) to shoot a Hulu series in Sardinia.

Amal, 40, and George, along with their one-year-old twins, are now living in Sardinia for the summer, where he is filming his new TV series, Catch 22.

"George was treated and released from an Olbia hospital", the rep told "Good Morning America" in a statement Tuesday. Lawyer and human rights activist (also Clooney's wife) Amal showed up at the hospital and took her scuffed-up husband home, where he's now safe and sound recovering with his baby twins nearby.

This is not the first time George has had a scary run-in on a motorbike - back in 2007, he and then-girlfriend, Sarah Larson, were involved in an even scarier crash in Weehawken, New Jersey. Initial reports say his scooter collided with a vehicle.

George Clooney's scooter was hit by a vehicle while riding around Sardinia, an Italian island. AGI reported that Clooney was later discharged from hospital and advised to rest for a few days.

DailyMail.com reports that Clooney's helmeted head smashed into the windshield. The reported "catch" in Catch-22 is, according to The Telegraph, a USAAF rule that states a crew member "is considered unstable if he keeps on flying unsafe combat missions, but if he asks to be relieved of his duties, the act of making the request proves that he is sane and therefore must stick with the job".

George was riding at Costa Corallina on his way to a film set and was traveling along a motorway when the crash happened.
