Mr. Romley, who is also a Republican, said Ms. Mitchell specialized in cases in which victims had long kept quiet about their abuse. Add Supreme Court as an interest to stay up to date on the latest Supreme Court news, video, and analysis from ABC News.

Accuser Christine Blasey Ford recalled a 1982 house party that she attended along with Kavanaugh, his friend Mark Judge and others. Judge is a boyhood friend of Kavanaugh who has written a book describing the debauchery of his high school years.
"I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation".
The committee could vote on Kavanaugh's confirmation on Friday, with a final Senate vote early next week. "I've never done any such thing", he responded. This is just completely made up, or at least not me.
Kavanaugh has also been accused of exposing himself to a classmate, Deborah Ramirez, during an alcohol-fueled Yale University party a few years later. But when it became clear Kavanaugh would likely be named to the high court, she said she faced a hard choice. The people who knew me then know that this did not happen, and have said so.
Swetnick, through her lawyer Michael Avenatti, claims that Kavanaugh engaged "in highly inappropriate conduct, including being overly aggressive with girls and not taking "no" for an answer".
Republican Judiciary committee staffers on Wednesday were trying to interview another woman, Julie Swetnick. The release includes a day-by-day view of the committee's investigative work over the last two weeks since allegations surfaced targeting Kavanaugh.
She says he tried to remove her clothing, pinned her to a bed and covered her mouth at a house party in 1982.
She did not specifically claim Mr Kavanaugh took part or that he was aware of her rape, but said that he and other boys in his circle engaged in similar behaviour. "This is what has terrified me the most", she said.
The judge has denied the claims, saying in a Fox News interview that he has always respected women and was a virgin at the time of the accusations.
When Feinstein asked her how she could be sure that Kavanaugh was the attacker, Ford said, "The same way I'm sure I'm talking to you right now".
"I also witnessed Brett Kavanaugh behave as a "mean drunk" on many occasions at these parties", Swetnick said. That's the year when Ford says she believes the assault occurred.
"Their goal - not Mrs. Ford's goal - is to lay this past the midterms, so they can win the Senate and never allow Trump to fill this seat", Graham said.
She spoke about the alleged incident in New Yorker magazine and has said she is willing to co-operate with any investigation.
