Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 18 matches across all competitions under Sarri.
Everton were hardly tested in the first half at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea unable to muster a shot on target until Marcos Alonso forced Jordan Pickford into action with a rasping volley.
Alvaro Morata believes he still has more to prove following his recent upturn in form for Chelsea.
Maurizio Sarri also beat the previous record held by Nottingham Forest's Frank Clark back in 1994 as the new manager with the most number of unbeaten games under his belt. I played a lot of games [last season] but this season it hasn't been like that. I think if you asked every player that's not playing if they are happy, they are going to say "no". We were a bit unlucky.
"At the moment, we are doing well and that's why I am doing well. I am not happy of course, but I think we are [moving] in the right way". "You don't want to sit around and wait for it you want to play straight away - that's why we play football".
"The referee tries to do his job and I try to do my best". It is very hard to stay close to these teams.
"Last year I got an injury with my ankle for three months".
Eden Hazard has made the frank admission the aggressive treatment that he is often subjected by his markers is starting to take its toll on his body.
"I can finish with Chelsea", Hazard told Chelsea's official website.
The 27-year-old Hazard starred as Belgium finished an impressive third at this year's World Cup in Russian Federation and then played his part in helping Chelsea make an unbeaten 12-match start to the Premier League season with seven goals.
Everton set up to be compact, with Sigurdsson crucial in eliminating the space for Jorginho - who was perhaps fortunate to escape with just a booking for a high lunge on the Iceland global - to operate, forcing Chelsea into a more direct approach. We blocked Jorginho fantastically.
