Trailer For 'Deadpool 2' Holiday Version Features A Fired-Up Fred Savage

In the U.S., the film was rated R violence, strong language, sexual content and obscenity, but while the MPAA has already given the new film a PG-13 rating for the States, over in the United Kingdom the British Board of Film Criticism (BBFC) has decided not to lower the rating. Though Savage protests, insisting that he's a grown man and his days of juvenile purity are long behind him, the Merc with a Mouth states that "nobody does childlike innocence" like Savage does.

With snow falling, the voice of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool opens the 66-second sneak peek saying: 'Right before Christmas, a good guy in red, is coming to theaters with his new sidekick Fred'. That new content is a clever framing device that features franchise star Ryan Reynolds and Wonder Years star Fred Savage.

Like I said, I super don't get it.

Once Upon A Deadpool frames the previously explicit movie as a bedtime story Deadpool reads to Fred Savage - you know, like The Princess Bride. "The second condition took some explaining..."

Savage jokingly added, "While my participation in this film was anything but voluntary, I am happy to learn that Fudge Cancer will be the beneficiary of this shameless cash grab".

Savage is unconvinced, asserting that he prefers Marvel movies. Obviously, that's a pretty interesting concept, given that the Deadpool movies we've gotten so far have been very R-Rated. The superhero's first solo outing hits theaters on December 21.

The best part of Once Upon a Deadpool, however, is that for every ticket sold $1 will be donated to the charity F-ck Cancer, which is being retitled "Fudge Cancer" for the purposes of this PG-13 release. 20th Century Fox has released an official trailer for the upcoming re-release of Deadpool 2 as a PG-13 holiday movie, titled now Once Upon a Deadpool.
