Holly Willoughby catches the sun after I'm A Celebrity debut

He also sent a series of supportive tweets throughout the jungle show's first episode with Willoughby at the helm.

Holly Willoughby is standing in for Ant McPartlin on the news series of I'm A Celebrity.

However, a representative for the ITV show has called the reports "absolute rubbish".

"We are very happy with Holly presenting alongside Dec", they said.

I'm A Celebrity.Get Me Out Of Here continues on ITV at 9pm.

She was later told she had broken a Jungle record as the trial she had just completed had the most snakes ever in I'm A Celebrity history. Speaking to the camera, she said: "I was praying please keep Emily safe".

Atack replied "I would love that" and was then seen giving the sign of the cross before sitting down to pray. "To me, this serves two purposes, the other is just abuse". When the news broke, Willoughby was promptly hit with a wave of sexist criticism, accusing her of abandoning her children to take the job (when, in fact, they're in Australia with her).

Paddy Power have slashed odds of Holly's departure from 25/1 to 16/1 with Extra Camp host Scarlett Moffatt's odds to step into the role at 20/1.

The trial will see her having to collect stars for her campmates from chambers and holes occupied by snakes.

As Digital Spy notes, some fans on social media did struggle with Ant's absence - unsurprisingly, considering he's one of the most beloved figures on British TV.

Anne has won the hearts of viewers so far on the show after revealing her autism battle.

Scarlett was one of the celebrities who took part in the Tomb of Torment, the first Bushtucker Trial of the 2016 series, Meanwhile, Georgia "Toff" Toffolo and Amir Khan took part in Critter-cal Rescue, the first challenge past year.

Willoughby's already made it clear she won't be continuing the gig after the series, but will instead return hosting duties to Ant once he makes his TV comeback.
