New Game Of Thrones Season 8 Teaser Points To An Epic Showdown

Or at least that's what is implied in the "Game of Thrones" Season 8 teaser that HBO released Thursday. Winter is officially here. We'll have to wait until Season 8, the final season of Game of Thrones, hits HBO in April 2019.

In the meantime if you need a content fix and it just won't go away you can visit JOE's dedicated Game of Thrones hub right here.

There is nearly assuredly a bloody and epic final season coming in 2019 that will see many characters fall and the possible resolution of who deserves to sit on the Iron Throne.

The 39-second animated clip shows ice and fire sweeping over a map of Westeros. While there isn't any footage from the upcoming episodes, it sets the stage for an epic war of ice and fire.

First we see the wolf, representing the forces of Winterfell frozen solid, and then a Targaryen dragon. Every time a Game of Thrones season comes, the trailer comes before 3 months. Also, the reunion episode will be out only after the release of the final season. The last season ended with a bang when the Night King got control over one of the dragons of Daenerys and destroying The Wall and its protective magic.

The show brought actors like Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams, Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Iwan Rheon into spotlight, making them global stars.
