Eden Hazard replies when asked if he’ll extend his Chelsea FC contract

Moses is all glee for Hazard, after the dashing winger-cum-midfielder hit his 100th and 101st goals from 322 Cheslea appearances in a 2-1 win at Watford on Boxing Day.

With Hazard making it publicly clear of his admiration and desire to play for Real Madrid in the future, Sarri has acknowledged the situation has dragged on for too long.

Pedro is expected to miss Chelsea's next three matchesPedro has been ruled out of Chelsea's game at Crystal Palace, where the Blues are also expected to be without Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Hazard himself has continually insisted he prefers to play on the wing, but has again moved to insist he has a strong relationship with Sarri and will play wherever needed.

"At the moment I am very happy with him in this position". He is able to come and play with the team-mates. This will help him to play more consistently at the highest level and it will also help the Blues hierarchy to gauge whether he is genuine first-team material.

Luiz has been great under Sarri this season and the Brazilian is favoured in the defence alongside Antonio Rudiger.

Asked if he thinks Hazard has already made a decision, Merson said: "I would say yes. It is hard for this reason but I think we can find a solution".

"I think he's the only player in the league who can get the ball on the halfway line and beat three players and score on a consistent basis".

One player Sarri will not have the services of for the trip to Palace on Sunday afternoon (Sunday evening AEDT) and likely the visit of Southampton and the FA Cup tie with Nottingham Forest is Pedro.

Maurizio Sarri has in recent weeks used the left-sided winger on a number of roles in attack and it seems Eden Hazard is not particularly happy with these new roles.
