Bulls Waive Cam Payne, Want To Find New Destination For MarShon Brooks

Wojnarowski added that the Grizzlies are giving up their 2019 and 2020 picks to the Bulls in the deal.

On Thursday, the Memphis Grizzlies reportedly made a move for the Chicago Bulls' Justin Holiday, dealing away MarShon Brooks in the process.

With Holiday gone, rookie forward Chandler Hutchison figures to slide into a starting spot on the wing.

Both Brooks and Selden were meant to be included in a three-team trade with the Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards, which would've brought the Grizzlies back young forward Kelly Oubre. His 97 3-pointers are the eighth-most in the National Basketball Association this season.

The Chicago Tribune reported in the wake of the deal that the Bulls still have small forward Jabari Parker and center Robin Lopez on the trade market. The latter two figures are career highs for the seventh-year veteran, while the points average trails only his 12.2 from last season, his first with the Bulls.

Payne came to Chicago via a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2016-17 season.

The 29-year-old is averaging 11.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per contest through 38 games this season.

He holds career National Basketball Association averages of 8.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 17.3 minutes per game.

ESPN also reports the Bulls plan to waive Cameron Payne to clear space for the players.
