Hudson-Odoi coy over Bayern speculation Read Chelsea • By Alex Turk

He has become a part of Chelsea's first-team squad over the past year, but has still only featured three times in the Premier League, and reports suggest he is refusing to discuss a new contract until he is given assurances over playing time.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has urged Hudson-Odoi to remain at the club he joined in 2007. He can play but of course, sometimes he will be on the bench, like Willian or Pedro, but now I can start to consider him at the same level.

Sarri was nevertheless satisfied with Hudson-Odoi's display and said he had seen no evidence that uncertainty over the player's future has affected him.

"Chelsea I think will extend two of those deals, they would like to extend two of those three deals".

Bayern Munich are turning up the heat in their pursuit of Callum Hudson-Odoi after sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed their interest in signing him.

Bayern's initial bid for the player was rumored to be somewhere around €14.5 million, and they have had offers of both €23 million and €30 million declined since then.

Chelsea are looking to sign a replacement for Cesc Fabregas before allowing him to make the move over to Monaco. "No, because I'm not in charge of these things [transfers]", he said.

"As I said in my social media statement, I'm 100 per cent for the rest of the season and would like to have a happy ending with Dortmund".

'I know for me he is a very important player, he's young and now he's improving, especially in the defensive phase. I think he is a very important player.

He added: "But I am not in charge of all these questions and I don't want to speak to a player about something that doesn't depend on me".

Spurs came out of the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final with a slight advantage thanks to a Harry Kane goal from the penalty spot.

"This is a guy who has started no Premier League games, in fact he has 71 mins of Premier League football under his belt, he only turned 18 years old in November".
