Nintendo has confirmed that the launch of Mario Kart Tour has been pushed back to this summer. It's great to see Nintendo in the overall gaming conversation again, especially as someone who loved the Wii U and found it maddening that there were all of these great games coming out that no one played.
Nintendo is making a new version of Dr. Mario for iOS and Android phones. Nintendos Mario games that end in World means they are platform games.
Nintendo might be working on a new, smaller version of the Nintendo Switch. However, the company surprised many when it announced plans to bring Super Mario Run to the iPhone in 2016. It's going to be free to download, and it will include optional in-app purchases.
Although Nintendo had its best quarter ever in terms of Switch sales, the company says it won't hit its 20 million sales goal for the console this financial year. And as The Verge points out, Mario and Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto once reminded us, "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad".
Mario Kart for iPhone will operate in a similar way to that of Dr. Mario World.
