Gonzalez was traded to the Atlanta Falcons in 2009 after spending twelve seasons in Kansas City. In his career, he had 64 interceptions returned for an NFL-record 1,590 yards and seven touchdowns.
The induction ceremony will be held on August 3 in Canton, Ohio. He played in 190 games with the Chiefs compared to 80 games over five years with Atlanta. Ty Law, Kevin Mawae, Pat Bowlen, Gil Brandt, and Johnny Robinson round out the 2019 class.

Bailey recorded 52 interceptions in his career abd racked up 18 in two seasons (2005-06), the most in the National Football League in over 20 years.
Law made five Pro Bowls and was a member of the 2000s All-Decade team.
Robinson twice intercepted 10 passes in a season (1966, 1970) for the Chiefs.
Bailey was a 12-time Pro Bowl pick who racked up 52 interceptions in 15 seasons with the Washington Redskins (1999-2003) and Broncos (2004-13).
Law was then selected by the New England Patriots 23rd overall in the 1995 National Football League draft, and enjoyed a successful tenure there until 2004. Over the course of his career, Reed made nine Pro Bowl appearances and was named a first-team All Pro five times. Those three players combined for 35 Pro Bowl selections as well as 14 first-team All-Pro nods. Denver has won three Super Bowls under his leadership.
"From when I retired and found out they were going to have the Super Bowl here, I was like, well, that times out if I could be a first ballot - if I'm lucky enough to be a first ballot - it's going to be in Atlanta!"
All told, Mawae blocked for 13 1,000-yard rushers during his sixteen seasons and drew an enormous amount of praise from Parcells as a result. In his career with the Chiefs, Robinson won four division titles, three AFL championships and started in two Super Bowls.
A pioneer of scouting, Brandt is best known for his time as vice president of player personnel with the Cowboys, helping form a dynasty in the 1970s.
