Ariana Grande pulls Grammy performance after spat over music, report says

Singer, Ariana Grande will not be performing at the Grammy Awards after reportedly falling out with the show's producers.

The popstar had been scheduled to perform at the February 10 show, but as well as not taking to the stage, she reportedly won't even attend this year's ceremony.

Variety reports that Grande sought to perform "7 rings", the latest single from her new album, thank, u next.

'I've kept my mouth shut but now you're lying about me.

With album Thank U, Next set to drop just two days after the show, a performance in front of millions could have been a nice way to advertise her new music.

The insider claims that producers suggested a medley performance instead, which Ariana is reported to have been on board with. I want to do it on my own terms from now on'.

She pointed this out, writing that she: 'passed a Grammy's bus with my face on it typing those [tweets]'.

CNN has reached out to the Recording Academy for comment.

"As it turned out when we finally got the point where we thought maybe it would work, she felt it was too late for her to pull something together for sure", Ehrlich told AP. She's a great artist.

Grande is far from a new face on the scene, but this past year has been an especially prominent one for her.

Grande's 2018 LP, Sweetener, is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, while her song "God Is A Woman" is up for Best Solo Pop Performance.

The Grammy's loss of Ariana Grande is almost impossible to replace; her singles "Sweetener", "Thank U, Next", and "7 Rings" have reached a level of critical mass since going entering the streaming World.
