Chris Evans Offers Helping Hand To Oscar Winning Regina King

Regina King's flowing gown almost tripped her up on the way to collect her Oscar trophy, the actress' only misstep this award season.

Regina King nearly didn't make it to the stage at the February 24 Academy Awards ceremony when her name was called as Best Supporting Actress for her role in If Beale Street Could Talk. Coming to her rescue: Chris Evans, aka Captain America, who helped steady her as she got untangled. Let us know in the comments section below.

One Twitter user proclaimed, "Chris Evans is the superior Chris".

How do I tattoo Chris Evans helping Regina King to my chest?

Chris was among the many superheroes repping the MCU at the Oscars, with Black Panther up for Best Picture tonight.

Mahershala Ali, an African American actor who converted to Islam, had won hearts in 2017 - for his role as "Chiron" in Barry Jenkin's Moonlight, for which he won the Award for Best Supporting Actor - becoming the first Muslim actor ever to win an Academy Award. "I feel like it's kind of like one of those full circle moments because so much of the character Shannon was inspired by my mother and my grandmother". In her acceptance speech at the Golden Globes, she pledged that women would make up half of the staff on all of her projects in the next two years, saying "it's going to be tough".

"Mom, thank you for teaching me that God is leaning, has always been leaning, in my direction", King said, concluding her speech with "God is good, all the time". King quickly sorted it out, but Evans - sitting next to King's mother - noticed what was happening.

"Hey @ChrisEvans you are a gentleman!"
