Alexis Sanchez will leave Manchester United in summer, says Charlie Nicholas

Solskjaer's United side have been on top for most of the half, but numerous saves from in-form goalkeeper Angus Gunn have prevented the Reds from taking the lead in the opening minutes.

With Liverpool playing Everton on Sunday, Manchester City knew they had to win to keep up the pressure and move two points clear.

Sanchez will be a doubt to face Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their round of 16 clash at Parc des Princes on Wednesday night.

Angus Gunn saved Pogba's penalty, the France worldwide failing to convert from 12 yards for the third time in the Premier League this season.

The Saints had a real go against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's charges but could not quite leave with a positive result, although the performance they put up and football they played should stand them in good stead as much as any victory they might have secured.

Under Solskjaer Manchester United have found it pretty easy to score goals and so will be confident they can find the net a few times even against PSG's superstars.

With Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez struggling for fitness, there has been a growing dependence on Lukaku for goals and he will need to produce in Paris if United have any hopes of a turnaround in the tie. Romelu Lukaku has scored four goals in his last two matches and will be right up for this so both teams to score looks a decent shout here at 3/4. "They were class finishes from Romelu Lukaku and I am so pleased for Andreas Pereira". The referee waved play on immediately, perhaps unconvinced by Bertrand's theatrical fall, but there was no question that the United defender had pulled him back. When you're 1-0 down, we know the crowd always pushes for us and we wanted to win it. He was criticised for not letting Lukaku score, who was on a hattrick. Indeed, the bookies rate them as an 18/1 chance to qualify with Thomas Tuchel's side having won all four of their matches since that first leg at Old Trafford.

Mahrez, who took the field in first-half stoppage time in place of Kevin De Bruyne, sent a right-footed shot from the right side of the box into the bottom-left corner of the goal in the 55th minute. You feel a lot of emotions and I'm very happy and hopefully, there will be many more to come.

Notably, the reputed Keys and Gray show, also by beIN Sport, recently showed how other experts felt on Solksjaer's job at Old Trafford, as they felt it was seemingly "just a matter of dotting the i's and crossing the t's", before he took up the job full-time.
