PS4 Remote Play app comes to iPhone, iPad

This firmware update was in beta test for a while and this is the first public release for it. Sony has finally brought an official Remote Play app to iPhone and iPad, giving gamers the ability to connect to their console and play nearly anywhere.

If you want to take advantage of the big new feature, you'll need to download the Remote Play app from the iOS App Store.

The PS4 Remote Play app is available now in Apple's App Store. The steps are straightforward.

If your PS4 can not be found automatically, you will need to manually register the iOS device.

Setting up Remote Play is incredibly simple. Once you've logged in, the app will begin searching for your device, turn it on, and sync up.

The DualShock 4 controller is not compatible, however there are third party options which you can use instead. The iOS application support enables anyone to remote play on their device without restricting it to a specific smartphone.

Remote Play is a wonderful service from Sony that lets you stream your favorite PS4 games to another device.

Is PS4 Remote Play Coming to Android?

Remote Play was already available on Android devices but for some dumb reason, it is still restricted to Sony Smartphones.

Before attempting to connect however, make sure that your system is updated to version 6.50.
