Meghan Markle Officially On Maternity Leave! Let The Royal Baby Countdown Begin

Firstly, and despite reports she's already on maternity leave, if Meghan follows in sister-in-law Kate's footsteps, she will wrap up her royal duties about a month before her due date.

After almost six months of speculation, it was formally announced yesterday that the Sussexes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have their own household separate from the Cambridges, William and Catherine.

Meghan attended the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on Monday, alongside her husband Harry and senior members of the Royal Family.

Existing Kensington Palace staff will remain with the Cambridges while House Sussex will be based out of Buckingham Palace and Sara Latham, who holds dual USA and United Kingdom citizenship, will head up communications for the Sussexes, reporting directly to Donal McCabe, the Queen's new communications secretary. "The Household, which will be created with the support of The Queen and The Prince of Wales, will be established in the spring", the statement reads, shared by royal expert Katie Nicholl.

The two couples have broken up their joint court to create two separate offices, with the Sussexes' office and staff to be based at Buckingham Palace while the Cambridges' remains at Kensington Palace.

In 2006, she founded the Latham Group and has recently been a managing partner at London PR firm Freuds.

"The Duke of Sussex now has his own private office, which has been supporting the Duchess since the engagement of Their Royal Highnesses in November 2017", the Palace said in a statement (via Reuters).

Kensington Palace tells Yahoo UK that Meghan, 37, has no more public duties scheduled, but she does have a number of private meetings.

She is presumed to be a dual British-American citizen and according to a CV found online, she also played a part in Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.

Meghan Markle, who is expecting a child, has officially retired from the public eye, focusing on the health of her baby, which is expected in late April or early May. We will see them doing those things together. House Sussex, then, represents a fresh start as they move out of KP to Frogmore Cottage as their official residence and welcome the birth of their first child. Her specialty is "thought leadership and purpose-led campaigns", which could be a hint as to where Meghan and Harry want to steer their legacy.
