- Hundreds turned out Tuesday night at a Stop the Violence prayer vigil at Morris Brown College in Atlanta for slain Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle.
Their report further claims that Nipsey didn't alert his team or security to let them know that he planned on going to the store by himself because it was a last minute decision. I got Lauren [London, 34, Nipsey's girlfriend]. Then, after invoking the Rollin 60s "rich rollin", tagline, he urges those in attendance to tell the people around them "I love you". The two other men survived but the rapper was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed on Twitter that Eric Holder, 29, was taken into custody on Tuesday (April 2).
Lauren London has issued her first public statement since the tragic death of her boyfriend and son's father, Nipsey Hussle. One of them, wearing a white hat and shirt, tries to get back up but promptly collapses, the video, which has no sound, shows. He was also known to help promote STEM among young Black girls, help the homeless and others in the neighborhood.
"When we were watching it from footage from overhead, it was literally people scattered in all directions", she said.
"I thought he was very tall", she said, smiling.
Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore said the murder suspect left the scene but returned with a gun and opened fired.
An autopsy completed Monday showed that Hussle was shot in the head and torso.
"Here was somebody coming in to say 'how can we help?'" Soboroff said, wearing the tie he'd laid out for the meeting that never happened.
