ESPN analyst, ex-Patriot Tedy Bruschi recovering from July 4 stroke

Three-time Super Bowl champion Tedy Bruschi suffered another stroke on Thursday and is now recovering at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts, according to a statement from his family. "Tedy is recovering well", said the family statement provided to ESPN. He missed the first six weeks of the season, then returned to play eight months after the stroke.

"While shocked to hear of his recent stroke ... we are relieved to learn that he recognized the early symptoms and immediately sought and received treatment", the statement says.

The family said Bruschi was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts. "Tedy and his family thank you for your ongoing encouragement, and kindly ask for your privacy at this time".

Sturdy Memorial Hospital is located in Attleboro, Mass., southwest of Boston and close to Foxboro, home of the New England Patriots, the team for which Bruschi played his entire 13-year National Football League career.

Tedy Bruschi suffered a stroke on Thursday an is "recovering well".

He even started a running club called Tedy's Team, which raises funds and awareness for the American Stroke Association. He has run the Boston Marathon three times, including in 2019.
